How you cancel Disney+ depends entirely on who bills you: Disney directly, Apple, Google, Amazon, or a Hulu/ESPN bundle. The charge line on your card statement or the sender of your receipt emails tells you which one.
Like most streamers, Disney+ runs until the end of the period you've paid for — cancelling today doesn't cut access off today.
Cancel Disney+ (billed by Disney)
- Log in on the web. Go to disneyplus.com in a browser and sign in — the app hides billing controls that the website shows.
- Open your account. Click your profile icon → Account.
- Manage your subscription. Under Subscription, choose your plan → "Cancel subscription".
- Confirm through the survey. Disney asks why you're leaving and offers alternatives; keep confirming until you see the cancellation confirmed screen and get a confirmation email.
Billed through Apple, Google, or Amazon?
If your receipts come from Apple, cancel in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. If they come from Google Play, cancel at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. If Amazon bills you (common when subscribed via Fire TV), cancel under Amazon's "Memberships & Subscriptions".
Bundle subscribers (Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+) need to cancel the bundle where it was created — often on Hulu's side if that's where you signed up.
Frequently asked questions
Do I lose my watchlist and profiles?
Profiles and watchlists are retained by Disney for a period after cancellation, so resubscribing usually restores them.
Can I pause Disney+ instead?
Disney+ doesn't offer an official pause; the equivalent is cancelling and resubscribing later — your profiles survive the gap.
Why am I still being charged after cancelling?
Almost always third-party billing: you cancelled on Disney's site but Apple/Google/Amazon holds the actual subscription. Check which company appears on your card statement and cancel there.
