A huge share of Apple TV+ subscriptions started as free trials bundled with a new iPhone or Mac — and quietly converted to paid. If you're seeing a small monthly Apple charge you can't place, this is a likely culprit.
Apple TV+ is an Apple subscription like any other, so it's cancelled from your Apple account's subscription list, not from the TV app's settings.
Cancel Apple TV+ on an iPhone or iPad
- Open subscription settings. Settings → your name (Apple Account) → Subscriptions.
- Select Apple TV+. Tap Apple TV+ in the active list. If it's inside an Apple One bundle, you'll manage the bundle instead — see below.
- Cancel. Tap "Cancel Subscription" (or "Cancel Free Trial") and confirm. Access continues until the current period ends.
- No iPhone?. On a Mac: App Store → your name → Account Settings → Subscriptions. On the web: sign in at tv.apple.com → account icon → Settings → Subscriptions, or account.apple.com.
Apple One bundles
If Apple TV+ comes via Apple One, cancelling TV+ alone means changing or cancelling the bundle. In Subscriptions, choose Apple One → "Choose Individual Services" to keep only what you use — the math often favors individual subscriptions if you only use one or two services.
Frequently asked questions
Will I be charged if I cancel during the free trial?
No — cancel any time before the trial's end date and you pay nothing. You usually keep access for the remainder of the trial.
Where do I see how much Apple is charging me?
Settings → your name → Subscriptions shows every active Apple-billed subscription and its price, including third-party apps billed through Apple.
I cancelled but was still charged — why?
Cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period; a charge that posted before you cancelled stands. If the charge came after, check for a second Apple ID with its own subscriptions.
